Reaching Portelet Bay is part of the experience, with a steep set of steps leading down from the cliffs to the beach below. Once there, you’ll be rewarded with clear waters perfect for a refreshing swim. Thanks to its south-facing position, the bay is also a lovely spot to soak up the sunshine throughout the day.

Public toilets are available to visitors during café opening hours, making Portelet Bay Café a handy stop for beachgoers, walkers, and families spending time at the bay.
Accessibility
A long stepped pathway leads down to the beach, where you'll find a mix of sand and pebbles. Public parking is available at the top, with beautiful views across the bay before you make your way down. The Portelet Inn can also be found overlooking the bay.

Getting There / Directions
Head towards Portelet via La Route de Noirmont. Portelet Bay Car Park is located at the top of the bay, close to the start of the steps. From the top of the bay, follow the pedestrian route and steep flight of steps down the cliffside. There’s no vehicle access directly onto Portelet Bay, so be prepared for the climb back up!
