These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Find.je and the services we provide, including user accounts, directory listings, Find a Business, Eat & Drink, Things To Do, Events, Offers, Clubs & Classes, reviews, enquiries, featured or sponsored placements, advertising support and Marketing Services.
By using Find.je, submitting content, placing an order or asking us to provide a service, you agree to these Terms together with any specific plan, promotion, quotation, proposal, invoice or service terms shown or agreed at the time. If specific written terms for a service conflict with these general Terms, the specific written terms will take priority for that service.
Find.je is a Jersey-based local discovery, directory and marketing platform. It helps people discover local businesses, places to eat and drink, things to do, events, offers, clubs, classes and local information.
Unless we expressly state otherwise, Find.je provides an information, promotional and discovery service. We are not the seller, organiser, venue, booking agent, employer or contracting party for products, bookings, tickets, activities or services supplied by a listed third party.
You must be at least 18 to create a business account, purchase a paid plan or commission Marketing Services. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and secure and for activity carried out through your account.
If you submit or manage a business, venue, event, offer, club, class or other listing, you confirm that you own it or have authority to act for the relevant organisation or organiser.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is accurate, lawful, current and not misleading, and that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use any names, descriptions, logos, photographs, videos, menus, prices, claims, contact details or other materials you provide.
Find.je may review, edit for presentation or formatting, request changes, reject, suspend, unpublish or remove content where reasonably necessary to operate or protect the platform, comply with law, respond to a complaint or enforce these Terms. Payment does not guarantee publication or continued publication.
You should keep time-sensitive information, including prices, opening hours, availability, dates and offer terms, up to date. Find.je may correct obvious errors, but you remain responsible for the underlying information.
Prices, billing periods, publication periods, included features and any listing limits are shown on the relevant plan, checkout, order, quotation or invoice at the time you purchase. Unless stated otherwise, recurring directory plans are billed monthly.
Submitting an order does not by itself guarantee acceptance or publication. We may check payment, eligibility and submitted content before activating a paid service. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance, activate the service or begin providing the agreed work, whichever occurs first.
Find.je currently accepts paid listing, membership and related service payments by bank transfer or standing order. Find.je does not currently collect card-payment details for these services.
After an order, we may send payment instructions and invoices through our accounting system, including a unique FIND payment reference. You are responsible for using the correct reference and for setting up, maintaining, amending or cancelling your standing order with your bank where required.
Payments must be made by the due date shown on the relevant invoice or payment instruction. If a payment is missing, late, underpaid or cannot reasonably be matched to an order, we may contact you and may pause, unpublish or withhold the related paid service until the account is brought up to date.
If a recurring price changes, we will provide reasonable notice before the new amount applies to an existing recurring service. Because Find.je does not control your bank standing order, you may need to amend the payment amount yourself.
Find.je may offer launch promotions, free periods, coupons or discounted rates from time to time. Any eligibility requirements, expiry dates, usage limits and other conditions shown with the promotion form part of the offer. Promotions cannot be exchanged for cash and may not be combined unless we expressly say otherwise.
Where a Small Biz Rate is offered, it is intended for businesses that meet the eligibility description published with that rate. We may request reasonable information to confirm eligibility and may remove a discount where the qualifying conditions are no longer met.
Businesses and venues remain responsible for the products, services and information they provide. For Eat & Drink listings this includes menus, prices, allergen or dietary information, licensing, booking availability and service information. For Things To Do listings this includes admission information, opening times, restrictions, suitability, accessibility and safety information.
Users should confirm important information directly with the relevant business or venue before travelling, booking, purchasing or attending.
Businesses publishing Offers are responsible for ensuring that each Offer is genuine, current, accurately described and legally compliant, and for clearly stating important conditions such as validity dates, exclusions, availability, booking requirements, redemption limits and any other material restrictions.
Find.je may remove expired, misleading, duplicated or inappropriate Offers.
Event Listings may be sold for a fixed publication period or on another basis shown at checkout. The applicable publication period begins as stated on the order or when the Event first goes live.
Event organisers remain solely responsible for dates, times, venues, ticketing, cancellations, refunds, licences, permissions, insurance, health and safety, safeguarding and any other legal or operational requirements connected with the Event. Find.je does not guarantee that an Event will proceed as advertised.
A Clubs & Classes plan may allow multiple active listings under one subscription, subject to the limit shown on the applicable plan. Providers are responsible for keeping schedules and availability current and for all matters connected with delivery of the activity, including qualifications, supervision, safeguarding, insurance, suitability, participant safety, cancellations and any required licences or permissions.
Reviews should reflect genuine experiences. Users must not submit fake, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, unlawful or manipulated reviews, and businesses must not attempt to improperly influence ratings or user feedback.
Find.je may moderate, remove or restrict reviews and responses where reasonably necessary. Reviews are the opinions of their authors and are not endorsements by Find.je.
Find.je may provide enquiry or contact features, but we do not guarantee delivery, response times, availability or the outcome of any enquiry. The business receiving an enquiry is responsible for its own response and any resulting transaction.
Featured listings, premium placement, sponsored category exposure, promotional creatives and advertising support may increase visibility but do not guarantee views, enquiries, bookings, sales, search-engine rankings, social-media reach or any particular commercial result.
Where content is sponsored or promotional, Find.je may label or present it in a way that is appropriate for transparency and applicable advertising or consumer-protection requirements.
Find.je may provide separate Marketing Services, which can include marketing strategy, social media, content, design, advertising support, campaigns, copywriting, website or digital support and other agreed promotional work. Marketing Services are separate from a directory plan unless a written quotation, proposal or package expressly includes them.
The scope, fee, timing, deliverables, included revisions and any ongoing commitment for Marketing Services will be set out in the relevant quotation, proposal, order, email agreement or invoice. Work outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately and will not be charged without agreement.
You are responsible for providing accurate briefs, lawful claims, necessary brand assets, access and approvals in a timely manner, and for confirming that materials you supply can legally be used. Delays in receiving information, access or approval may delay delivery.
Third-party costs such as advertising spend, printing, paid stock assets, platform subscriptions, influencer fees or external production costs are not included unless expressly stated. Third-party platforms remain subject to their own rules, availability and account decisions.
Marketing performance can be affected by market conditions, budgets, competitors, algorithms, platform changes and other matters outside Find.je’s control. We therefore do not guarantee a particular level of reach, leads, sales, followers, conversions, rankings or return on advertising spend.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you may use final approved bespoke deliverables created for you once the relevant fees have been paid in full. Find.je retains ownership of its pre-existing materials, methods, templates, know-how and tools. We will only use client work in our portfolio or promotional material where it is already public or where we have a reasonable basis or agreement to do so.
If delivery of Marketing Services requires Find.je to process personal information on your behalf beyond ordinary client administration, additional data-processing terms may apply where appropriate.
Unless a specific plan or agreement states otherwise, a monthly recurring service may be cancelled for future billing by notifying us at hello@find.je before the next billing date. The service will normally remain available until the end of the period already paid for unless we agree otherwise.
Stopping or changing a standing order with your bank does not by itself settle an invoice already issued, amounts due for work already carried out or charges for a publication period that has already started. We recommend also notifying Find.je so we can close or amend the related service correctly.
Refund eligibility depends on the service supplied, the stage reached, the circumstances and applicable law. Payments for a publication period or service already supplied, or Marketing Services already performed, may not be refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed.
Most paid Find.je services are designed for businesses and organisations. However, if you purchase a service as a consumer rather than for business purposes, you may have additional statutory rights under Jersey law, including rights that apply to certain distance contracts. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where the Distance Selling (Jersey) Law 2007 applies, cancellation rights may apply to services purchased online or at a distance. Those rights can be affected where you expressly agree that performance should begin during the statutory cancellation period after the required information has been provided. You must not use Find.je unlawfully; impersonate another person or business; submit fraudulent or misleading information; manipulate reviews; upload malicious code; interfere with security or platform operation; harvest personal information; scrape or systematically republish Find.je data without permission; or submit content that is abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing or otherwise unlawful.
Find.je branding, original editorial content, graphics, platform design and other materials created by Find.je remain our intellectual property unless otherwise stated.
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting it, you grant Find.je a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, resize, format, display and promote that content as reasonably necessary to operate Find.je, promote your listing or service, distribute Find.je marketing and maintain platform records. This permission ends when the relevant content is removed, except where copies must reasonably be retained for legal, backup or record-keeping purposes.
Find.je may link to booking systems, ticketing providers, websites, social networks, maps, payment or accounting services and other third-party platforms. Those third parties are responsible for their own services, terms, availability, privacy practices and content. Find.je is not responsible for a third party’s acts or omissions simply because we link to or integrate with that service.
We may suspend or terminate an account, listing, plan or service where there is material or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful or harmful activity, non-payment, misuse of the platform, a credible rights complaint or a legal or regulatory requirement to do so. Where appropriate, we will try to give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Termination does not remove obligations or amounts that arose before termination.
We work to keep Find.je useful, accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free information, permanent availability of any feature, or the quality, safety, legality or suitability of a listed third-party business, venue, event, class, offer or service.
To the maximum extent permitted by Jersey law, Find.je is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform, third-party transactions, user-generated content, listing inaccuracies, missed enquiries, third-party platform decisions or temporary technical interruptions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Find.je will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably outside our control, including internet or hosting outages, cyber incidents, power failures, third-party platform disruption, severe weather, government action or other comparable events. We will take reasonable steps to restore or continue affected services where practical.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Find.je Privacy Policy. Cookie and consent information is available through our Cookie Policy and on-site consent controls.
We may update Find.je, add or remove features, change plan structures or update these Terms as the platform develops. The latest Terms will be published on this page with an updated date. Material changes affecting an existing recurring paid service will be communicated where reasonably appropriate before they take effect.
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure or delay in enforcing a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Jersey courts, subject to any statutory rights or jurisdiction rules that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Find.je (“Find.je”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information fairly, lawfully and transparently.
For personal information processed through find.je, Find.je is the data controller unless another organisation is identified as the controller for a particular service. A business that receives an enquiry through its Find.je listing may also process that enquiry independently for its own purposes.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Information from other sources. Where we create or enrich public listings, we may use information supplied by a business or information available from official websites, public business profiles, public registers or other legitimate public sources.
Information submitted within business listings may be publicly visible on the platform.
Businesses are responsible for ensuring uploaded content does not violate privacy laws or third-party rights.
Find.je currently accepts membership and listing payments by bank transfer or standing order. To administer payments we may process order numbers, your unique FIND payment reference, the amount due or paid, payment status, invoice or accounting information and related correspondence.
We do not ask for or store full payment card details on Find.je. Your bank processes the transfer under its own privacy arrangements. Where we use accounting, invoicing or bookkeeping service providers, they may process relevant transaction and customer information on our behalf.
Find.je uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as account sign-in, security, remembering preferences and website performance. With your consent, we may also use analytics or other non-essential technologies to understand how the site is used and improve the experience.
You can use our cookie consent controls to accept, reject or change non-essential cookie choices. You may also manage cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies can affect site functionality.
We do not sell personal information.

Some service providers may process information outside Jersey or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we take steps appropriate to the transfer to ensure the information remains protected, for example by using recognised adequacy arrangements or contractual and organisational safeguards where required.
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for any applicable legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution requirements.
